Champú Salon
The business and what it needed.
Champú is a salon in Jackson Hole offering color, cuts, extensions, occasion hair, and weddings. The work is visual, but the site also has to make the service range and booking path immediately clear.
The previous site showed the salon’s services but did not present the quality and point of view of the work with enough confidence.
The direction and why.
The page takes its cues from an editorial spread rather than a salon template. A pale mineral field holds the message while a deep green image stage gives the color work depth. The result feels composed without hiding the practical booking route.
Specific decisions.
- 01Editorial type, practical labels
A high-contrast serif gives the headline its point of view. Tight all-caps labels carry navigation, captions, and service categories so the expressive type never gets in the way of use.
- 02A gallery that explains the work
Three overlapping crops show dimensional color from different angles. Small captions identify the work, making the gallery useful as well as visual.
- 03Booking stays visible
The warm booking control is isolated in the header and repeated beside the service introduction. Work, services, story, team, weddings, and visit information remain distinct in the navigation.
