01

Why did you email me out of nowhere?

I contact local business owners when I see a site direction that could be useful to their business. The email’s from me, not a sales team. You don’t need to click anything or fill in a form; replying to that email is the normal way to continue.

02

Who are you, and is Tela Studios a real business?

I’m Liam Morrison, the designer and developer behind Tela Studios. It’s an independent, one-person web design studio. I handle the strategy, writing, design, and build myself.

03

What does it cost?

It depends on the scope. I quote each project after I understand what the site needs, so I don’t give a number that only works by leaving important work out. We agree on the quote before you commit.

04

When do I pay?

You pay nothing while I build the initial demo. Payment typically isn’t due until launch. If the project needs an especially time-intensive feature, we agree on different terms before work starts.

05

Do I own the site and the domain when it’s finished?

Once the final invoice is paid, the site files and the work produced for the project are yours. Your domain stays registered in your name.

06

What if I want to move it somewhere else later?

You can move the site to another suitable host. I’ll provide the site files and the information needed for the move, and I don’t lock you into a proprietary platform.

07

Do you handle hosting?

I can set up and manage hosting for you, or work with an account you already control. I spell out the arrangement clearly in the project quote.

08

How long does the whole thing take?

The first working demo typically takes one to two weeks. Revisions usually take a few days to a week, depending on scope. Launch timing then depends on final approval, content, and access to the domain.
